Teacake Bake Shop Introduces 2008 Fall and Holiday Treats

Emeryville, CA – November 4, 2008 –Teacake Bake Shop announces new cupcake, cookie and brownie flavors for the 2008 Fall and Holiday seasons. All three retail locations, including Corte Madera, Emeryville and Lafayette, CA, will offer the Fall and Holiday selections. Teacake Bake Shop’s seasonal line of Fall and Winter Wonderland shortbreads will be available through online orders only.

Teacake’s Fall Product Line, available October 1 – November 27, will incorporate three new items. The products includes a Pumpkin Cupcake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting – a moist pumpkin purée spiced with cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and ginger, an Apple Crumb Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting – with fresh diced Granny Smith apples and house-made cinnamon crumb topping, and a Pumpkin Patch Cookie – a soft pumpkin cookie drizzled with caramel icing and topped with chopped pecans. Cupcakes will be decorated with autumn leaves, and yellow, orange and white ball sprinkles.

Teacake Bake Shop will be introducing four new items for the 2008 Holiday Product Line, available November 28 – December 31. The new line includes a Gingerbread Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting – a moist ginger cake spiced with ginger, cloves, cinnamon and allspice, a Chocolate Peppermint Cupcake with a Peppermint Buttercream – a chocolate cupcake with peppermint buttercream topped with chocolate microchips, a Feisty Ginger Cookie – with crystallized ginger, cloves, cinnamon and molasses, rolled in sparkling sugar, and a Peppermint Brownie – a fudgy peppermint brownie slathered with house-made ganache and sprinkled with crushed peppermint candy. Cupcakes will be decorated with snowflake sprinkles, fondant snowmen, red/white/green nonpareils, and red and white ball sprinkles.

Teacake Bake Shop’s seasonal shortbreads are divided into two collections, the Fall Shortbreads and Winter Wonderland Shortbreads, each including 48 shortbread cookies nestled in a “tea chest” gift box. The Fall line includes Pumpkin, Maple, Vanilla Bean and Cinnamon Sugar. The Winter Wonderland line includes Eggnog, Cranberry Orange, Vanilla Bean and Cinnamon Sugar.
