"Just looking in the window of Teacake makes your mouth water for these luscious and dreamy specialty cupcakes. These are no ordinary cupcakes ... they have style and panache. These are some of the best tasting and best looking cupcakes around. Who says looks don't count?"
- Lee R.

"I just love this place. Their cupcakes are perfect: not too spongy, but not too dense. I haven't tried all of their flavors yet, but I can vouch for the vanilla with vanilla frosting, the vanilla with chocolate frosting, the vanilla with raspberry frosting, and the chocolate with raspberry frosting."
- Marieka T.

"My name is Caroline and I am a dessertaholic. My last cookie was 2 minutes ago. I had Teacake's chocolate chunk and indeed they were large, chewy and the Belgian chocolate chunks were marvelous. I also had a sampling of 2 of their luscious cupcakes today. I had the Pink Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese and their Chocolate Cupcake with Dulce de Leche frosting. I was not disappointed at all. It's pricey but wow.

I don't know if I could find a place that took desserts as seriously (finest ingredients: imported Belgian Chocolate and Dutch Cocoa, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla, locally sourced farm fresh dairy and eggs, and of course, sweet cream butter for the most delectable taste and quality). I am so grateful my friend Keeya introduced me to this place. I am also grateful it's kinda hard to get to from where I live. This place is DANGEROUS!"
- Caroline S.

"Being the cupcakeaholic that I am, I am always willing and ready to try any cupcake, big or small, red or green, far or near.....

But before I go on, let me preface that I LOATHE, LOATHE Bay Street Mall. It's a bigger mess than Britney, Courtney and Lindsy combined. The parking, the traffic, the pedestrians, the double parkers....LOATHE, LOATHE....ad nauseum.

HOWEVER, I would walk barefoot in the snow from SJ to Em'ville and deal with Bay Street just for these cupcakes. I kid you not! OK, well you get the idea. I would kill for these cupcakes. I love them all. I could inhale every cupcake in the store within milliseconds. They're moist, sweet enough...they're just right."
- kris h.

"I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been all over California trying cupcakes here and there, and there is no place that does cupcakes like TEACAKE!! They are so moist and dense, and the flavor is just so great!

Every time i am in the area i HAVE to stop. The shop is so adorable...the line is always out the door, and the service is great. The girls that work there seem they love what they do. I don't mind spending $3 for a cupcake here, they are well worth it.

The Lemon and the Pink Velvet cupcakes are my favorite right now, but the best i believe is their Coffee cupcake with the espresso buttercream and topped with an espresso bean..so great!

Their cookies are good too.

If you are looking for a delicious treat, i would suggest this place anytime!"
- audra m.

"The Bourbon Vanilla and Pink Velvet stole my heart but the chocolate was delicious too. Service was super fast, the packaging is adorable (perfect for a house warming gift) and I honestly don't remember when I've had icing that made me want to weep.

I'm an icing fiend and Teacake's is both sweet and creamy. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it."
- stephanie w.

"these are THE best cupcakes i've had so far. I only tried this place a couple of weeks ago. The cupcakes are normal sized but the frosting is yummy. I don't normally eat the frosting on anything, but this is the best part of the cup cake. i looooveeee the strawberry cup cake, but there are other flavors such as red velvet, chocolate, etc. even the take out boxes they come in are cute!"
- nancy v.

"So far, the best cupcakes I've had from a bay area bakery are from Teacake. The vanilla buttermilk ones are my favorite and you can really tell with all of their products that they use quality ingredients. It's so easy to spend over $20 in here because you want to try everything. The moonpies are good though they'll probably give you sugar overload."
- APM..

"HELLO to that lovable vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting!

The three ingredients I despise, but secretly dream about? Butter. Sugar. Flour. This place is MADE out of those, like a gingerbread house or something. It smells awesome when you walk in, even with a carnival of 11 year old girls parading around, screaming and unable to make a decision.

The cupcakes are perfection: Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream, Chocolate Sour Cream, Pink Velvet, etc. If you really don't like cupcakes, you WILL be converted. The frosting is off the heezaaaayyyyyy! And this is coming from someone who hates frosting.

The cookies looked out of control as well. Aside from being the size of my head, the fact that they had so many choices was overwhelming: Chocolate Chunk, Coffee Toffee Chocolate, Chocolate Chunk Hazelnut, White Chocolate Pistachio, good lord this list could go on, I mean, Tuxedo Brownie (!?) and Chai Latte--what kind of place IS this--Oh, I'll tell you what kind of place: A sugary sweet confection of goodness!

Go for the cupcakes! They are absolutely adorable. You can also get monogrammed cupcakes, because who couldn't use a few monogrammed cupcakes lying around (?), decorated items for certain occasions, brownies and boxed sets of items of your choice. You can buy dry mix, too-- to make at home! I have an obsession for packaging and the cupcakes come in the cutest little boxes to house those crazy bad boys.

And to top that off--they're partnered with the Children's Hospital & Research Center Foundation of Oakland and are devoted to a few other causes as well. Can someone say cherry on top? Anyways, I have to go, because I'm going to shed a big fat tear now."
- Nellie S.

"Listen, I can do nothing but dig these cats -- a friend of mine who lives in the Bay Street condos just had some terrible news, but I was far away and didn't know what to do. The great owner at Teacake Bake Shop had never done this before, but let me explain the situation and request that someone from the shop bring some cupcakes and cookies up to my friends flat, and I paid for it over the phone."
- D. R.

"FIVE FIVE FIVE!!!! A PERFECT 5 stars for Teacake Bake Shop. Oh where do I begin? How do I find the words to describe their perfect concoctions?! I don't know... but I'll try.

Pink Velvet cupcake with cheesecake frosting. They only have this on Saturdays but it is my absolute favorite! The frosting is sweet, but not too sweet, and oh so light and fluffy and creamy and.. and.... and DELICIOUS! The cupcake itself is moist and light. It literally melts in your mouth.

Chocolate with butter cream. Like with all of Teacake Bake Shop's delightful desserts, this one is utter perfection. Yes, chocolate with butter cream seems so... plain, but trust me on this one, this is anything but plain! You know how sometimes you eat a chocolate cupcake and wish you had a glass of milk to dilute the overbearing chocolate flavor? You won't get that with this cupcake! They're flavorful without being overbearing.

Coffee toffee chocolate cookie. The cookies are the perfect texture; not too firm, not too soft. Like their cupcakes, they're oh so moist. This cookie is packed with tons of toffee which I love!

OH! I'm not a big fan of carrot cake, but I LOVE their carrot cake cupcake with cheesecake frosting.

I could go on and on about all the other cookies, cupcakes, brownies and whoopie pies I love here but I think this review is long enough. Onto my signature sidenote...

Sidenote: I have a love hate relationship with them... I love them for being the definition of cupcake perfection but hate them for turning me into a huge cow. Damn you Teacake Bake Shop... damn you for being so delicious!"
- Beverly T.

"This is my favorite cupcake place of all time. I don't know what it is about the place, maybe because it's warm and cozy, well decorated, and the people are friendly. The place is just so damn cute. They sell cookies too, and I heard they were good, but when I come here, I only get the cupcakes!

It's moist, the sprinkles are sweet, and the buttercream is so good and creamy (and not too sweet). I always make a stop when I'm in Emeryville.

Check out the website! There are pictures, and it makes me sad that I'm not in the Bay Area right now."
- Grace C.

"SHIZAM!

I'm found it, I've found the golden ticket! Teacake sprinkles their cupcakes with love and makes the world, or at least this girl, feel good.

I've somehow become cupcake obsessed since this whole cupcake boutique fad started early this year. My friends look at me strange when I say the highlight of my weekend was tasting a good cupcake at a new cupcakery I shopped. Maybe I am strange, maybe I am addicted to everything sugar, maybe I'm just crazy... but that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Teacake kicks much ass when it comes to the cupcake biz. I tried three different varieties, I would have tried more but I thought that buying $15 worth of cupcakes for myself was already excessive. The flavors I did try were the vanilla cupcake with strawberry buttercream, the pink velvet and the devil's food with Dulce De Leche buttercream.

The cupcakes themselves were moist, not dry, and extremely tasty. The frosting was rich and creamy and full of flavor. But overall, I feel that you can't go wrong no matter what cupcake type you order.

Oh, and their cookies kick ass as well. And, and this is the kicker when compared to the other cupcake places I have visited... the staff here was NICE, sweet, accommodating, warm, etc... that in itself makes it worth the drive over the bridge for a cupcake, and the quality of the cupcakes themselves doesn't hurt either.

RUN, don't walk to Teacake. You won't be sorry."
Ms. M. M.

"They were DELICIOUS. I brought some cupcakes for co-workers and they couldn't stop eating them! The cupcakes were so rich, I esp. loved the Pumpkin cupcakes. My boss was like, you can taste the butter in these and of course I had to try it and it was true! It was true, genuine cupcakes. I could taste the lovely, light buttery taste in the cupcakes-it was really good. Usually, I think cupcakes have too much of the cake than the frosting, but I loved taking every bite of the cake part! The frosting was delicious as well! It's simply sweet in demeanor, but it's just whipped so well. It's heavy and light at the same time and it was just really good frosting, simple put!"
- Jenny W.

"We arrived at the Bay St mall and headed straight to this charming little bake shop. There were so many adorable cupcakes, it made my decision very difficult. Then I spotted the pink velvet cupcakes off to the side and my mind was made up. Kiki bought me one of the cute pink velvets along with a snickerdoodle cookie. I also bought us some cookies of the day, oatmeal coconut chocolate. Omg, everything was to die for! I can't believe I'd never been to Teacake before. Now I'm making it a point to go there whenever I'm in the East Bay."
- Connie C.

"I coincidentally came on a Wednesday which was their Carrot Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting special -- MY FAVE! I also ordered the Chocolate Cupcakie w/Dulce de Leche Frosting, Vanilla Buttermilk w/Chocolate Buttercream, Chocolate w/Vanilla buttercream, for my friends to try out back home.

Eating these cupcakes felt like, as Stewie Griffin would put it, "an orgy in my mouth." The cake was moist and filled with flavor, and the frosting was exceptionally rich -- clearly made the with the finest ingredients.

Teacake Bake Shop had truly exceeded my expectations. At the end of my cupcake orgasm, I felt no guilt over spending a whomping $3 for a teeny weeny cupcake. As a cupcake enthusiast, believe me, it's worth it!"
- Krystel B.

"I had one of their cupcakes for breakfast today...and then a cupcakie for lunch. Both were perfect...

...I tried the seasonal strawberry cupcake: vanilla cupcake with strawberry buttercream. The $3 cupcakes are small but tops when it comes to quality. It's not just vanilla cake but Madagascar Bourbon vanilla cake. I love the vanilla cake - it's so tender, moist, and delicious. The strawberry buttercream is made with fresh strawberry puree and tasted like strawberry ice cream. Their frostings are softer than average. The cupcake is sweet and sophisticated. Even their sprinkles are top notch.

They also bake the BEST cookies ($2 each) - about 5 inches in diameter and thick. The result is chewy yet with slightly crispy edges. My favorite is the spiced iced molasses which is rich and spicy. Molasses, ginger, cinnamon, cloves. They drizzle on the orange icing so prettily. The snickerdoodles are also right up there on my list of favorites. And you can get day old cookies for 50% off. Yes, 1/2 off.

Teacake - how else do I love you? I love the printed cupcake and cookie guides that come with pictures and descriptions. I love the packaging including the signature gift boxes, the elegant website, the way the cupcakes are displayed under glass domes, the giftable items (t-shirts, bake it yourself dry cookie mix jars), and more. OH and you're across from my favorite store: Sephora!"
- Lolia S.

"If I could, I would eat their cupcakes every week, okay, maybe every day, I'll be honest. Today I got the daily special: vanilla cupcake with a key lime, toasted coconut frosting, ahhhhhhh! Probably the most flavorful, orgasmic cupcake I've ever had in my entire life. Oh yeah and the chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting was also fabulous, but it's not fair for it to be compared while having the other one. If you're shying away from it because of the parking situation, just park and go in and out, the first 29 minutes are free."
- allison b.

"Teacake is absolutely delicious. I credit their cookies and cupcakes for the first ten pounds of my freshman 15. This bakery has truly made me a bigger person...but not a better student. I've been late to class on numerous occasions because of this place.

I now believe that you should always, always indulge 8 pm cookie cravings because if you don't, you'll just end up fighting traffic to and from E-ville just to eat their coffee toffee chocolate cookies first thing the next morning.

I will buy my future wedding favors here. And my firstborn son's birthday goodies. And possibly the last dessert before I die.

Now go already!"
- Nicole C.

"Best cupcake icing ever. No really. And I come from people who know icing. OK not really... but I have made icing. I know it's not that hard... but they do it oh so well. The cupcake itself is also good, perfect compliment to the icing. And the freaking cookies...oh geez...so delicious. Like insane crazy delicious. You can totally taste the high quality ingredients. The chocolate chip cookie is to die for.

I recommend getting a cookie and a cupcake (at the very least) As far as the price- it's pretty much comparable to most other bakeries...As an extra bonus- the packages and bags are so super crazy cute, and the staff is always nice."
- ami m.

"There's no easy bake oven here!

The night before I left on a trip to Holland and Belgium, while I was having little dark chocolate truffle day dreams, I stopped into the Teacake Bake Shop for a little evening treat after my last American meal.

I nearly fell over backwards when I bit into my little chocolate cupcake topped with colorful frosting.

This is quite possibly THE BEST cupcake on the planet.

I recently watched some pompous woman on the food network try to boast that she had the best cupcake....but the problem was that she lived in LA, she was stuck up and I could tell that her cupcakes (yes, just from watching TV) were DRY!

Not at the Teacake Bake Shop.

They're light, fluffy and fantastic.

get one...
do it.
do it.....
do it."
- Natalie B.

"You're going to want to go here.
This isn't just a good bakery. Every bakery is a good bakery. It's hard to go wrong with baked goods.
This is a GOOD bakery.
Breathless, fist-pounding, little moans of happiness kind of good.
That's really all I can say. The sweet prowess of this place goes above and beyond common vocabulary. Just the thought of that cupcake I had this afternoon renders me speechless."
- Jody A.

"Simply the best cupcakes I've ever tasted. Moist with silky smooth frosting. I just stopped in for a snack and left with a snack and a smile. Try the velvet cupcake.....yummmmmm!

The place had the look of a country kitchen and the personnel there were pleasant and helpful.

The only way it could be better was if it were bigger, but I'm sure that's not too far ahead in their future with their quality being the way it is.

I wonder if they make cakes?"
- warren c.

"Been going here since Teacake opened, and can honestly say they have the best cupcakes ever. The cake part is dense and not too sweet (kind of like a hot milk cake), which is a great accompaniment to the butter cream icing. The lemon butter cream is my favorite, but is available only on Sundays. Well worth the $3 (it's not like you're going to eat them everyday). The cookies also are swell--the chai cookie being the best. They have a nice selection of teas as well. Service is always warm and hospitable."
- brewgirl b.

"Best. Cupcake. Ever.

Washed that Red Velvet goodness down with a refreshing white chocolate chai cookie that I was "saving for later." Butterliciousness."
- ella c.

"** UPDATE: Now that I've been in the SF area a bit and have tried the other upscale cupcake places around, I still say TCBShop is the best. I just wish
they'd open one on the other side of 80 since I can only go during lunch so many times before I get fired. OK, so I"ve tried more from TCBS now: For chocolate lovers, the Mexican Brownie is TO DIE FOR. I normally only like DARK DARK chocolate and molten flowerless cakes and this brownie did it for me. The dash of cinnamon - YUMMM!!!! And from the new Cupcake of the Day flavors, I I LOVED Key Lime Coconut!!!

Seriously good stuff. My boyfriend is a cookie connoisseur who was skeptical about another high-end cookie shop but after tasting these cookies, he is POSITIVE these are the BEST he has ever tasted, and believe me, he has tasted A LOT of cookies from all over. Something about the perfect balance of
crunchy on the outside but chewy on the inside? Me, I LOVE the Brownie Bites - perfect portion control and they keep well in the 'fridge (the secret is to reheat cupcakes in microwave for 8 sec and toast the cookies in toaster oven for that "just out of the oven" taste). But I do try to make it there on Fridays for the blueberry cookies. I also love all the gifts they sell - perfect hostess gifts!"
- B. K.

"Teacake bakeshop is baking and branding perfection, packaged in a collection of fine desserts found in a most unlikely location across the bay. From the thoughtfully designed interior that makes you feel like you're back in your mom's kitchen, to the rich and flavorful frostings, mouth watering scents, and of course the delectible high-end ingredients used in all of the desserts. The Coffee Toffee cookies are the best of two worlds in every bite.

The ingredients they use are truly the finest (e.g. Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla- who knew Madagscans made vanilla?) and guaranteed to be fresh. Also, they bake their desserts real-time in batches to ensure that every cookie and cupcake is literally right out of the oven (which explains why they are sold out of a few by the end of the day)."
- Richard S.

"I am in love with cupcakes. I know cupcakes. When I seek out cupcakes, I am looking for very specific characteristics.

Yesterday I discovered lovely, delicious Teacake Bake Shop hiding in the chain store jungle of Bay Street Emeryville. It was just what I was looking for! It was just like Stanley discovering Livingstone...but without the quotably droll British restraint. I squealed like a little girl. My tastebuds did cartwheels. I babbled incoherently about the perfection of the delectable pink sugar frosting, the velvety chocolate cake. I could have made out with that cupcake. I wouldn't put it past me."
- Jennif E.

"Incredibly amazingly delicious cupcakes. The cake is light, airy and delicious, the frosting is simply delicious. I ordered 2 dozen for my girlfriend's birthday, everyone at the party was raving about them. If I lived closer I'd be there all the time. I've only had the cupcakes, but I have had many people tell me their other treats are also amazing."
- Jen S.

"okay first of all, I love desserts, and this place is over kill!!! I think it's placed on a great place and the pink sign and shingles more than hell stands out.

If you like desserts then this is the place for you. You can walk by and basically see everything they sell in the window. I find it cool that you can see the bakers and workers in there doing there thing, making you feel like you apart of the process and walk there and say how you want something."
- Jeff I.

"Cute little bakery. Every time I would pass by this place my mouth could drool. The little cupcakes in the window look so scrumptious! And they look so adorable too!

I think I had some kind of devil's food cake, and boy oh boy was it great. It was sweet, but not too sweet. And the frosting was perfect, not too rich and heavy. Oh, they also put these cute little candies on there that were really good.

This place is just so cute. They even put your treat in a little white box. Gosh this place is just too cute."
- Steff L.

"Holy moly, these are some yummy cakes! I can bake some mean cupcakes, but these are just amazing. I randomly stopped in last week to check out the joint- to my delight, they're worth every penny... at $3.00 a cupcake I had my doubts, but oh boy, they're amazing. The whoopie pie is pretty darn good too- but it's a lot so have some now, and the rest later. YUMMY!"
- carrie S.

"This is the West Coast holy grail of cupcakes and the answer to the Magnolia Bakery in the West Village (they don't even offer chocolate frosting). I threw a birthday party for myself and decided to go with cupcakes instead of a traditional cake. I spent about an hour with an incredibly sweet staff member that entertained my every wish. I ordered about thirty cupcakes, with four different combinations of frosting and cake. I recommend the Dulce de Leche frosting with the sour cream chocolate cupcake and the butter cream chocolate frosting with the sour cream chocolate cake. They spelled out my name and "Happy Birthday" in pink and brown fondit over 23 of the cupcakes and put cute forget-me-nots on the others. They were moist and delicious. It was a huge hit. Everyone at my party raved about the cakes afterward. I can't say enough about this place only that I hope there's one coming to an area near you.

Did I mention that I was in a hurry the day I was to pick them up and the manager ran them out to my car? AMAZING!! All businesses are not created equal, but there are angels in Emeryville. Dressed in pink and brown to match their charming clean store. I love this place. I suggest you include this on your list of things to do they close at 7pm."
- Beatla P.

"I actually received mail-ordered cupcakes from this bakery, and they arrived super-fresh, in good condition, and very tasty! Can't imagine how
good they are when you pick them up directly from the store
!"
- Jennifer P.

"It's so hard to walk into teacake bake shop and only buy one cupcake. I usually buy 3 so me and the boyfriend can fight over the last one. They are seriously the BEST cupcakes I've ever had....the cake is always tender and spongey....the frosting is sugary, light, and delicious. All of this infused with incredible flavors like rich chocolat and madagascar vanilla---so addictive. My grandma, who lives in Walnut Creek, always asks for me to bring her some of these cupcakes when I visit. They truly are a guilty pleasure for people of all ages."
- Megan M.

"So far the Best of the Bay Area. Cupcakes, cookies, cream cheese frosting. Calories, sugar, carbs. Yummy, yummy, yummy. If I hadn't just fallen running up the escalator in my flip flops, I probably would have ended up eating my cookie there and buying more. I crave.

The perfect solution to my feeling lame for falling UP an escalator. Too bad the sugar doesn't make the bruising and aching going away.

Customer Service is fabulous. I love that they help you one at a time. The attention is on YOU, until you are done with your purchase of sweet presents. No craziness of 3 or 5 different people helping you down the line like [ahem] that one cupcake place down South ...

I do Teacake.

Do you?"
- llorree s.

"A bakery in an outdoor mall??? Surrounded by establishments such as the Elephant Bar?? Yeah, it was my own preconceived notions that kept me walking right past this place every time I finished staring at the uncomfortable but cute shoes at the Steve Madden store. One day, I was PMSing and wanting something sweet, so I decided to give it a try. I didn't want to stuff my face there, so I asked for a cupcake to go. The boy behind the counter put it in a cute little box. When I got home, I made some hot tea, placed the pretty little cupcake on a pretty white plate, and smiled after I ate the last
crumb."
- anjali k.

"This is a pretty mean cupcake. Whether you've got a refined sweet tooth, want to show somebody some extra appreciation, or have a girl to impress, Teacake Bake Shop is the store for you.

The first thing you'll notice when walking in to this Tiffany's of cupcakes is the lack of a menu -- in front of you is a display case with a variety of cookies, on the right, there are a few glass cake displays with cupcake samples. The presentation is definitely 5 stars.

Of the cookies, I tried the tuxedo and the oatmeal raisin. Both were decadent, but not overpoweringly buttery or sweet. The oatmeal cookie, with big, juicy, yellow raisins, was particularly interesting.

Of the cupcakes, I tried the seasonal pumpkin, vanilla, chocolate velvet, and coffee bean. The pumpkin was by far my favorite, the richness of the frosting and the cake, while similarly flavored, complimented each other surprisingly well with taste and density. My next favorite was the chocolate velvet with the pink frosting, the chocolate cupcake was rich while the pink frosting had just a touch of strawberry flavor, and again, wasn't overpoweringly sweet or buttery."
- Tony L.

"Heavenly!! Sometimes I hate the fact that my boyfriend has moved to Emeryville, steps away from Bay Street. Because everytime I come over, I can't help but come to this one precious jewel...

It's like a magnet that keeps bringing me back...every. single. time. My tummy loves it, but the cellulite on my thighs sure don't...

I wish I would go there on a Saturday and try this Pink Velvet that sounds mouth-gasmic... so maybe this week's the time to do it!

Last week I ordered a last minute 20 Cupcake order and the cute little boxes they have were free of charge! We used the cupcakes as prizes for a bridal shower... and let me tell you, everyone wanted to win."
- Alyson C.

"I don't usually prefer sweets, but sometimes a gal just needs a cupcake. I really liked the Teacake ones. They were moist, but not sticky, crumbly, but not the kind that fall apart. The cake wasn't too sweet, but the frosting was a nice sweet compliment. It's a cute little place if you're in the market for an upscale sugar fix. The cookies are fantastic."
- Rachel B.

"Oh my heavens.

A coworker gave me a cute little box of cupcakes for my birthday. Admittedly, I am not a huge cupcake fan. I am now. These little morsels of heaven were like sweet clouds in my mouth. I tingled all over. I'm tingling now, just thinking of the last one sitting on my kitchen counter.

I must admit that I've never been in the store. Their packaging is very cute... shabby chic cute. I even went online to see if I could have some cupcakes sent to me. Hence, they only ship cookies. Minus one star for that. [Editor's note: We ship cupcakes now!]

Maybe it's a good thing. But I will drive out to Bay Street for my next PMS session.

Watch out Emeryville..... all of the cupcakes will be gone."
- Emily S.

"If you're wanting a special treat try the Teacake Bake Shop. Their cupcakes are expensive (VERY) yes, but OMG they are soooooo good! If you can
afford them... DO! The missing star is for the price, the cupcakes are worthy of a 10 star rating! They are special, the texture, frosting and fillings are perfect, not grainy and not too sweet! Don't miss the Whoopie Pies they delicious, my girls favorite. Oh, and the white cupcakes with vanilla frosting are scrumptious..my fav! I haven't even tried the cookies which look wonderful ...guess I'll have to visit again!"
- Amy Y.

"It is a cute cupcake shop and probably the best I've found so far on this side of the bridge. The cupcakes are soft and the frosting is so light and perfect - it's the first time I've ever bought cupcakes for both the frosting and the cake. My favorite is the vanilla cupcake and the chocolate frosting - it's a little like angel food cake with chocolate mousse on top. Yum!"
- Lorraine D.

"This place is Heaven on Earth.

I have a HUGE Sweet Tooth and it doesn't help that I work a few doors down from Teacake. They fill my needs- if I want chocolate they've got it. Some pistachio-they've got that too. Lemony something- it's there! They've even got a CHAI cookie!

It helps too when it's been one-of-those-days at work and I just need a frikin' cookie, the workers there are usually very friendly and the owner is great too!

I will spend hours on the elliptical just to get my fill of Teacake for the week. It's well worth the 2 minutes of eating one of their heaven-sent cookies! Everyone needs to try this place!"
- karolina p.

"teacake dominates.

the chocolate chip cookies taste like they are made with 98% chocolate chips and butter, and 2% flour.....the edges are a little crispy and the middle soft (but not in the underbaked, fat saturated way). other cookies are just as tasty, but i'm old-fashioned so i tend to stick with plain o' chocolate chip.

the cupcakes are great, and so are the whoopie pies. admittedly the presentation is a big reason to buy them, but they do taste just as good as any; and they are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, dates... teacake will compensate for dull conversations and wooden personalities, among other things."
- archi-nerd l.

"This has been a place I'd been wanting to go/try for a while after hearing of many of my friend's wondrous experiences. Whilst I never set foot into the shop I was treated to one of their cookies courtesy of one of the sweetest Yelpers evah!

The cookie is unlike any I've ever had before. It was jam packed with goodies such as nuts, chocolate, and some other unidentifiables. One bite and it melted in my mouth playing naughty games with my tastebuds. I felt so violated yet sated at the same time."
